What will you remember most about this summer?
Sadly the answer is job hunting....
What was your favorite road-trip of all time?
Submitted by bodhibound.
Years ago, one of my best friends and I went on a road trip where we took the coastal route from Seattle all the way down to central California. We spent a couple weeks doing this, and stopped at lots of cool places. It was a great trip!
I'm still looking for a job, I've been fixing my resume here and there and I'm starting to get some phone calls and e-mails about it, so that's an up thing!!
On the downside, I've found out I don't have gout after all, it's some sort of weird arthritis, exact type to be determined later on when I have medical insurance for a bunch of tests. My rheumatologist is a great guy, is very accessible by phone, and also had no problems giving me something for pain! I pretty much only take that when the ibuprofen isn't working and I'm trying to sleep. I'm on steroids, they seem to be working, so I'm feeling more hopeful about the whole thing.
This is all affecting what type of work I'm looking for though, I need to find something that will let me sit down most of the time. I'm thinking maybe some sort of admin assistant or call center stuffs. We'll see. I hate reinventing myself!
I'll catch up on all your journals tomorrow, right now it's nighty night time for me!
Who is your favorite video game character?
Submitted by Korgoth.
The little guy from QBert!!
I'm still alive, still looking for work, although things are looking up in that regard, I had an interview earlier this week that I think went pretty well. I found out I've got some sort of arthritis, I'm going to a specialist on Wednesday to find out more. And I did go back through everyone in my neighborhood's older posts until I was all the way caught up!! whew...
Have you ever purchased something from an infomercial?
Submitted by Colleen.
Not from an infomercial per se, but I have gone to the As Seen on TV place a couple times to get stuff. I got a thing that pumps air back into 2 liter bottles of soda so they don't lose their fizz, and I got an Ove Glove, which turned out to be SO wonderful that I've since gotten myself a second one and given out a couple as presents.
What is your favorite greasy spoon?
Submitted by S@ngarang.
Depends on what meal it is! If it's morning breakfast time I like Dave's Diner. If it's other time of day breakfast time, either the Hurricane or Beth's Cafe. If it's lunch or dinner food, Andy's Diner.
You've found the fabled pot o' gold. How will you spend it?
